Day 8: Impromptu Passover Seder

April 4, 2010
I spent all day struggling to focus on my readings. Finally, after hours of ineffective and painfully slow work I decided that I should take a run up the mountain. It took me an hour from door to....well, back to the same door. The late afternoon light is my favourite kind of light I think, and it was shining through the bare but budding branches of the trees, and at the top, there were so many people enjoying the sunshine and the view! I've found out that Papagroove is great running music - check them out if you don't know them, they are a Montreal group with amazing energy.
In the middle of the run, Bubbi M, our Goddess House bubbi (the name of the house, which started as a joke but stuck, is up for improvement - we now have a male roommate, who suggested Mount Olympus in keeping with the Goddess theme) called me to invite myself and my roommate Esme over for a passover seder. A week late, we excel at the non-traditional. Our new roommate Hal came along as well, so the three of us cycled up to Bubbi M's house with wine. The seder was short and sweet, and especially fun. It is, after all, a celebration of freedom. Somehow, during the meal, we degenerated to making eerie wine glass music by running our fingers around the glasses. Here is a picture I took of Esme, Bubbi M, Hal and A "jamming"

On the way home, we stopped at St Viateur for fresh midnight bagels, sweet bagels and lox. Great way to end Passover!
